All Abilities Art

Enjoy a fun and relaxed morning at the library getting creative with art activities! Adults and teens of all abilities are welcome, along with caregivers/coaches.

Straight Up Abilities - A Dance Celebration

Tuesday, July 28 | 4 - 5 p.m. | Villa Parke Community Center Auditorium

This Disability Pride Month, join us in the Villa Parke Community Center Auditorium for an extraordinary dance showcase from the Straight Up Abilities (SUPA) Dance Company. Prepare to boogie down and be amazed by dancers of all abilities taking the stage with passion, creativity, and confidence. SUPA have been recognized at the Special Olympics World Games and have even performed with the Royal Ballet. Dance is for everyone - come celebrate with us!

levelUP: Summer Youth Fest

Saturday, August 1 | 3 - 6 p.m. | DENA Teen Center (2020 N Fair Oaks Ave)

Join us for a youth-led festival! Come to hang out, build connections, and explore what your community has to offer. We'll have free food, live performances, interative booths, and prizes!

STEM from Dance Club

Thursday, July 9, 16, 23, 30 | 4 - 5:30 p.m. | Jefferson Branch Library

Girls remain underrepresented in many STEM fields, and this program is designed to build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a sense of belonging for girls in science and technology. This STEM from Dance program invites girls ages 13–17 to explore how science, technology, and the arts can intersect in creative ways.

Four-week session. Attendance at all sessions is suggested.

LEGO® Showcase Day

Saturday, July 11 | 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Jefferson Branch Library

Join us as the 2026 Design Your LEGO® contest entrants (contest deadline June 26) present and give a brief commentary on their entries. Each entry is then judged based on originality/creativity, presentation/aesthetics and complexity. Winners will be chosen by a panel of LEGO® enthusiasts. Creators need to be able to attend and present at Showcase Day in order to be eligible for prizes.

Mid-Year Vision Board

Saturday, July 11 | 1 - 2:30 p.m. | Hastings Branch Library

Summer is around the corner marking the middle of the year, making it a great time for a Mid-Year Vision Board. A mid-year reflection is an opportunity to check in with your goals, acknowledge your achievements, and/or perhaps set new goals for the remaining half of the year. If you want to add on to an existing vision board that you have for 2026 please feel free to bring it in with you to work on. If not, no worries all supplies will be provided for your vision board just bring your creativity.

Bird Taxidermy: Wildlife Up-Close!

Take a look at awesome birds, bold and beautiful, and learn about the art and science of taxidermy. Presented by the Pasadena Audubon Society.

Freedom Tastes Like This: Food, Land, and Legacy

Friday, July 24 | 4:30 - 6 p.m. | Hastings Branch Library

Join us for an interactive workshop that explores the role of food in the story of emancipation, resilience and cultural identity in Black communities. The program weaves together; the historical connection between land, food access, and freedom after emancipation and the role of African American women in shaping agricultural and culinary traditions followed by a storytelling activity where participants reflect on their own food histories. For ages 13+.

Movie & Craft

Saturday, July 25 | 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. | Santa Catalina Branch Library

BRING YOUR OWN CRAFT and watch a movie (check in with the branch to see what movie is playing this month). Socialize and relax with other art people and maybe even finish that scarf you’ve been knitting for a year.

KPOP Photocard Holder Decorating

Saturday, August 1 | 12 - 1 p.m. | Santa Catalina Branch Library

Calling all KPOP fans! Come join us to decorate and customize your very own photocard holder (toploader). Bringing along photocards to show off is encouraged! All supplies provided.

Math Momentum

Tuesdays (Except July 28) | 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. | La Pintoresca Branch Library

1 on 1 support for today’s math classes with a focus on tomorrow’s college-level success in math and science. Bring a personally challenging quiz, test or assignment for the best support. Guided by a retired Caltech professor.

Movie Matinees at La Pintoresca

Join us for an afternoon matinee to beat the heat—an all‑ages movie escape where you can chill out, cool off, and enjoy some big‑screen fun at the library.

Video Game Club

Hastings Branch Library

Stop in for gaming on the Nintendo Switch. Make new friends while playing games. New experiences and engaging social interaction every week. Must play well with others. Drop by and join the Video Game Club! For ages 14-19. No registration required.

Parks After Dark Kickoff Festival

Thursday, July 9 | 6 - 9 p.m. | Robinson Park

Running July 9 through Aug. 14, Parks After Dark transforms local parks into vibrant gathering spaces where residents can connect with neighbors, stay active, and enjoy summer evenings together. This year’s program will also feature hands-on STEM activities led by scientists and engineers from Caltech at select events.

The Kickoff Festival is on Thursday, July 9, 6-9 p.m. at Robinson Park, featuring free food, games, arts and crafts, music, and community sports activities.

Levitt VIBE Pasadena Music Series

+Me Project Storytelling Workshop

Saturday, July 11 | 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. | Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena - Mackenzie-Scott Branch

Join us for a FREE storytelling workshop, for teens impacted by the Eaton Fire, whether a total loss or otherwise impacted.

In the workshop, you will:

Learn basic story shaping an structuring
Reflect on your experiences
Begin to write a poersonal narrative (which could also be used later for college apps!)
Have your story published in a book honoring community voices and experiences from the Eaton Fire
