The Youth Executive Board (YEB) is a group of young people (16-24) from Altadena + Pasadena that will work together to create systems where youth are driving change. We’re looking for youth who are ready to make a difference in their communities. This opportunity is open to those who live, work or go to school in Pasadena or Altadena. You must be eligible to work in the United States and, for those under 18 years old, you must be able to get a work permit from your school (we will help you with the process).

Celebrate Valerie Thomas’ birthday month with us! Valerie Thomas is an American scientist and inventor who worked at NASA from the 1960's until she retired in 1995. She invented a way to transmit 3D images using concave mirrors and patented it in 1980. NASA still uses her technology today! Join us to make a simplified version of the 3D Illusion Transmitter yourself!

Altadena Libraries
Starting February 1, the Altadena Main Library is closed for renovation, with an estimated closure of 14–18 months. The Bob Lucas Memorial Library and Altadena Library at Loma Alta Park.

Sierra Madre Public Library
Starting January 31, both the temporary and permanent Sierra Madre Library locations are closed to the public through May 31, 2026.
During this time, staff are merging the temporary collection with their main collection, which has been in long-term storage. Sierra Madre library cards will continue to work for their online resources.
