Ages 9 - 14 - In this program, we will discuss gravity and the detection of gravitational waves via Caltech’s LIGO Laboratory. Through engaging activities (such as interactive models of spacetime and LIGO’s lasers), students will understand how gravitational waves arise, how they are detected, and what they reveal about the universe.
Join us in the Hill Avenue outdoor courtyard for miniature winter scene painting. We will be using acrylic paints & painting on small drilled wooden panels that can be hung up with string or wire to display.

This has been especially true for the Southland’s Japanese American community, starting back over one hundred years ago and continuing through today.
